Memorial Day Dive Trip

Aboard Peace, 5/29/2010-5/31/2010

Once a year a group of divers get together aboard Peace to enjoy the beauty of the Channel Islands, diving, and good friends.

The main focus of the Memorial Day Dive Trip is diving. This is not a party boat, but in the evenings we like to relax and have fun. This is not a cruise to pick up dates, but we do try to have a 50/50 mix of men and women. Many people return every year, because the people on the trip have become good friends.

We limit the number of people on the trip to around 2/3 of the boat's capacity (20 spots out of 30). This makes for a much nicer trip (nicer bunks, more space for gear, more room at the dinner table, etc.). The downside is that this trip tends to sell out really early. If you have any interest at all, you need to move quick to secure your spot.

Here are some great photos both above and below the water from the 2005 trip taken by Elaine Jobin. http://diver.net/bbs/messages/54296.shtml

If you'd like to learn more about Peace, they have a very nice web site at www.peaceboat.com.

This year the Memorial Day Dive Trip is scheduled for May 29 (Saturday) through May 31 (Monday), 2010.

The organizer for this trip is Michael Coleman mcolemansf@gmail.com (209)595-8099.
